On this cue I wrote for a latin instrument called a "Guica" that can sound like a monkey. (My dad used it on "Planet of the Apes"). We had a really difficult time finding this instrument in London. I seem to remember the percussionist actually had to buy one and have it flown in for the recording.
Sadly, shortly after the release of Kull The Conqueror, John Nicolella passed away from cancer. He was a very nice man. I wish I had the opportunity to have known him better." - J.G.
