"Carrie Ruth Goldsmith is my sweet older sister by two years. Because of our close proximity in age, Carrie and I often played together as children. When she turned sixteen, she became my personal chauffeur.
After Carrie graduated from high-school, she relocated to Mammoth Lakes, CA. and became an exceptional ski bum. We were all so proud. It was there that Carrie met her soon to be ex-husband Donald. Together they purchased and ran a very cool ski lodge for several years. After bearing two beautiful children, Ryanne and Ben, and no longer able to bear Donald, Carrie returned to her studies at UC Davis and obtained her degree in English, which she now speaks fluently!
On a trip back east, Carrie met the love of her life and a really swell guy named Gary Barnard. She soon moved to New England and became a high-school English teacher as well as Gary's lovely bride. Carrie and Gary live happily together in New Hampshire with their dog Ariel.
As long as I can remember, Carrie wrote beautiful stories and always had a remarkable ability to find real significance in things most of us would simply overlook. I've always found her writing rather poetic. I'm very proud to be her brother but I would never, ever, ever admit that to her face!" - J.G.
