Joel and Tech-Wizard Tim Joy started the development of a new analog and digital hybrid Modular Synthesizer inspired by the "Synth of Doom" (and George's rants on real analog sound). Tim painstakingly assembled the modules from kits developed by Synthesis Technology. Upon it's first photoshop draft, the synth consisted of a stand-alone analog design reminiscent of a classic Moog Modular System onstage with Keith Emerson!
Bringing this classic modular design into the 21st century, we included dual 17" monitors running on a Mac G5 Dual 2.7 Ghz computer for realtime digital effects, sequencing and audio editing. The best analog and digital equipment fusing into a state-of-the-art dream machine!
The final concept design includes a Tektronix Oscilloscope and KX88 Yamaha keyboard controller. We've included a realistic overview of Emagic's Logic Audio for kicks too... Check out that waveform on the scope! Wait until you see it all patched with cables. We can't wait to hear it!
